I finished packing for our weekend train show and it was only about 8:30
so I fired up my Digitrax system, turned on my capacitor discharge
system, and started some fun work in my main freight yard.

I returned a UP SHS steam engine from it's train to it's stall, I then
returned a pair of RS-3's to an outside stall without issue. Next came
a SHS AB set, that was sent to the next stall. Since my CNW SHS steamer
is now in New Jersey I used it's stall for my FM Trainmaster.

Next I accessed my USRA 0-8-0 switcher, as I needed to move two trains
into various yard tracks. Reefers to the icing track, stock cars to the
clean-out track and others to the four track stub ended yard storage
tracks. In the next 60-90 minutes I experienced one minor derailment
(the switcher) and probably 2-3 occasions where the couplers wouldn't
open while placed over the permanent "under the tie" magnet. Of course
I always carry a uncoupling pick as a back-up for those situations.
Anyway I consider that a successful but not perfect session and yes,
time permitting, I'll check out that turnout with the derailment!

I sometimes wish I had a video camera documenting how well things work,
to prove that fact--while I do have other video sessions that prove the
opposite is also true!
