Right!  Duplication has been going on for a long time.  I believe the O scale 
and tinplate markets are larger than are those markets in S.  Hence, 
duplications of product type in S may result in both firms' abandoning 
production because in their view "it will not be worth the effort".  

I stand by my comment: There's enough diesel types, not to mention steam 
locomotive types, to develop without duplicating the production of another 
manufacturer.
