Hi Peter,

I wouldn't hold my breath for this to happen, since MTH now has an interest in 
Lionel. While they may do an es44, I don't think they are likely to jump into 
the S market with an item that directly competes with Lionel like the SD70Ace. 
I think it's far more likely they might do something more conservative in the 
beginning, maybe something like the N&W J 611 4-8-4, which I heard they were 
considering doing in S scale, but abandoned it when they went into G scale 
several years ago.

Time will tell...
