Thanks for the suggestions.    In this case, the benchwork (table top) is about 
40 or so inches from the floor, so anyone viewing will be looking down, unless 
they are a child.   I suspect that for real photo shoots, not just “from the  
hip” photos, will require some kind of temporary “sky”.    Jesse Bennett had 
sliding “sky”, much like sliding closet doors, but I don’t want to have stuff 
hanging from the ceiling.

... "edge of the world" syndrome when looking across the layout. I was planning 
to build the layout high enough to give a low angle looking across the scene 
view so I was considering just painting a distant New york city scene on the 
walls across the aisles from the layout so there would be some kind of end to 
the view. I also thought that I might have to add temporary backdrop to the 
edge of the layout for certain photo shots if the aisle was too apparent in 
photos.
