Hi Ken,

American Models is a good place to start. I had already found their site but
hesitated to order because I wasn't sure what I would get. When you look at
their steam locos they have 4 buttons for power and wheels. 2 for AC and DC
hi-rail and DC scale. The diesels have only 2 buttons one for AC and one for
DC. At the online hobby shops I have seen their diesels available in DC hi-rail
or scale. I just wasn't sure what I would be getting.

That plus my friend's American Models GP9 is in a box with 3 possible
configurations. First is scale, second is DC hi-rail and third is AC hi-rail
with the DC hi-rail being checked. This loco runs fine on my Tomalco code 100
and I didn't think a hi-rail loco would do that. Does that mean American Models
is sold out of the scale versions and only has DC and AC hi-rail available or
am I missing something?
