Still there are people who don't know what works with what.  Maybe that's a 
good sign - that we're getting new people all the time.  Yes, new highrail 
(AM, SHS, &c), but not old tinplate (American Flyer),  will run on code 100 
track - until it comes to a scale turnout.  Then there will be a conflict. 
Highrail wheels and scale frogs are physically incompatible.

Does that mean American Models is sold out of the scale versions and only 
has DC and AC hi-rail available or am I missing something?

This had the potential to be a fun discussion until someone spoiled it by
