Yes you are correct--I should have said--"until recently manufacturers
have ignored much of the underbody detail". Those Rapido, Fox Valley
and even the Walther's seem pretty neat. With that being said, the
Southwind cars have pleased me too. I don't have any of the SWM
Pullmans but I have seen all the work put into those cars.
I have sold some of the old plated brass cars in HO and there wasn't
detail one on those cars! I think Hallmark was the importer in that case.
