I did not get a personal invitation and the timing of the convention did not
match up with my son's vacation. So I visited with my son earlier and saw Gerry
Holmes' layout just two weeks prior to the convention and ran trains there for
an afternoon. Had a wonderful time.
Regardless, the attendance of Lionel and/or MTH could be taken as an indicator
of their interest in S gauge. Although we will never compete in size with York
or the NMRA National. Still, it would be nice if just one guy showed up --
sort of like Tom Marsh of Overland Models used to do in the goode olde daze.
