Does the engine speed go back up after going back down from notch 3? EMD's
did indeed "shift" it was called making transistion, whereby the speed cut back
a tad before ramping up. I kind of doubt notch 3 was when it happened but I
guess it all depended on the load.

sounds great untill you get to notch three on the throttle, and thats where the
problem is, the prime 567 idle's back down to notch 2 or 1 like its shifting
gear,
