Mark....

Check out Lionel's new cylindrical hopper. Except for wheels and couplers, it
is a scale model. The pad already exists to mount a Kadee coupler. New wheels
from NWSL (if they fit?) and you will have a scale model. Futuristic
assumptions about Lionel, or anyone else, are sometimes prone to error.

Nobody can predict the future. What Lionel will offer in two year's time is
unknown. Decisions are being made today for products that will become reality
in your hands for Christmas 2014. Are you really sure there will not be a
scale model somewhere in the lineup at that time?

Incremental movement toward scale is fine with me. Scale wheels, DCC, etc. are
now a reality. I would agree that instant offerings of fine-scale PBL-like
products is unlikely.

I'm not trying to be difficult, but we can at least give them the benefit of
the trend line (a bit more scale each year) and not make public assertions
without some factual evidence.

Just another epistle -- don't mind me.

Cheers...Ed L.
