Dern tootin' there is, Earl. It will be posted as soon as Dick Karnes'
product review of the Y-3 is complete and posted. I think it will answer just
about every question there might be about this loco. The video shows it on
a mainline run on my layout pulling
a l-o-n-g string of loaded hoppers. Another shorter video shows it passing
through a #6 double slip switch made from a Fast Track fixture. It runs
smoothly and you can hear the sound effects better.

Keep in mind that the video's goal is to show the 2-8-8-2 running at both
medium and slow speeds over scale trackage. It does not emphasize scenery
or pretty clouds on the backdrop or rivers or bridges.

THAT IS OK ED. YOU CAN ADD SCENERY AT A LATER DATE !!!!!

Thought I would have some fun with you, knowing what a magnificent job you
and your team have done with scenery. I look forward to seeing the video

Still, it is kind of interesting if you would like to see Fred Rouse's
scale conversion efforts closeup. Fred is a very talented machinist and we are
lucky to have him in S scale.

Nuff said for now is that it works on scale trackage and more detailed
questions should be directed to Fred at SSL&S.

Hope all this helps with your decision making.

And, to whet your appetite some more, a video clip of the SD70 will also
be appearing at a URL near your home.
