The SHS wheels are a little unique since they don't fit most of the S Scale
trucks anyway. IF, what a powerful word, Lionel builds the hopper and includes
wheels that conform to NMRA/NASG in no way does that mean they will fit
anything other than their trucks. SHS wheels fit SHS, and maybe AM. I don't own
either AM or SHS but I do know that the pointed axle SHS has it's own length.
That is why NWSL made wheels just for the SHS models. The wisdom of the NMRA
and NASG was to NOT specify any standard for axle length, wheel profile, yes.
Axle length, no.
