I've done a few of the SHS undec reefers, and like you there were some issues
with tiny air bubbles occurring in the groves between the wood panels. I have
carefully used staight pine to poke very tiny holes in the decal film, then I
would apply a thin coat of Microsol over the affected areas with a very soft
bristle paint brush until the bubbling disappeared. Like you I shreeded I
number of decals until I learned of this method. I will attempt to add 2
attachments of what I have done. One decal set was HO scale, and the other was
O Scale.
