Bob; I have no qualms about putting my money on Fred. He even remembered that I gave him some cast ends for an RS-1 that he wants to build "some" day.
I have a set of RB trucks under something on the layout, but can't remember what. I also have three pairs of SMMW roller bearing trucks to assemble. Those will go under my pair of CGW plug door boxcars and maybe the CRIP plug door car I have, again, "some" day, as Pa Kettle used to put it. I wonder if his method of turning on his radio was a precurser to benchwork thumping to get an engine to move. boB Nicholson ___________________________________________________ --- In [email protected], Bob Werre <bob@...> wrote: > > boB, > > I'm sure Fred will deliver some good product for you. > > From what I can tell, and I still have several modern style cars with > the Ace RB trucks/wheels they also had a good product if you can live > with the steel wheels being sucked toward the uncoupling magnets. > However, remember they made two different sizes (33 & 36), in plastic > and steel, blunt and needle point axles and finally scale or hi-rail > flanges.
