 Using it does solve the problem with the warning message in comment:74.

 In addition, it makes the segfault in `sage -t
 devel/sage/sage/rings/polynomial/multi_polynomial_ideal.pyx` disappear -
 which is a bad news, because instead the test hangs during some call to a
 singular_function...
