 Oh boy. So, wdo e have another circular dependency, meaning that this
 ticket depends on #12313? Perhaps we should apply Python's cyclic garbage
 collector on my trac tickets :(

 Anyway, I am currently unable to do any programming, since I very urgently
 have a manuscript to write.
