The cache of the Hom function seems not to be used, even though the Hom
function is called. Namely, defining

sage: H = Hom(ZZ, RealIntervalField(prec=64), category=EuclideanDomains())
}}}
I still find that
{{{
sage: QQ.gcd(3.14159,2*3.14159)
}}}
creates two copies of H each time it is called. Odd.
