The problem is a conflict with the system library, which (on OSX
10.6.8, at least) is
{{{/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ImageIO.framework/Versions/A/Resources/libPng.dylib}}}
This is probably caused by prepending {{{-L$(SAGE_LOCAL)/lib}}} to LDFLAGS
in the new spkg.
