Strange I just succesfully compiled gcc 4.7.2.p0 spkg with the list of
Cygwin packages I posted earlier installed.

the difference is). However, JP seems to have had a different experience,
which is why I say "figure out", not just "add to prereqs".
Indeed, no compiler by default.
I'll check what happens on a clean install later as well.
