This is #14406, probably will be included soon.
> > * Related to that, we still get the message about `sqrtl in -lm`
outdated math library, which presumably would make things fail if
`SAGE_PORT` wasn't set, so we need to somehow fix things so that's not an
issue. What happens on FreeBSD?
> Any updates with what we should do here? The code for the sqrtl
business that David wrote is a little convoluted for me, but perhaps it
wouldn't be that hard to change to logl as was suggested above.
Also #14406.

don't use the (current) Sage 4.6 GCC spkg to build on Cygwin. This could
involve making the 4.7.2 spkg standard (I don't believe there is a ticket
for this yet, though there is a sage-devel thread reporting a fair amount
of success), or something else.
> This is #14378, and Jeroen even has an spkg.
And it's been closed.

two different brand-new installs of Cygwin that failed with the current
package list until I installed it. It was ''not'' pulled in with gcc-core
and friends.

front?
So the sole remaining issue ''for this ticket'' is the check for mpfr-4.
What should we do about this?
