I also don't like the unbalanced-bracket-hack. But, since Pari sets up its
error catching framework that way, we should go with it, ugly or not.
Then I agree with Peter that the name should be different form
`sig_on`/`off` precisely because it has different semantics.
I don't really see the need for getting too fancy with context managers or
decorators, the pari error try/catch should essentially only be used in
`sage.libs.pari` and nowhere else in the Sage tree. And that is precisely
where you wouldn't want to take any performance hit for one of the more
fancy solutions.
