The log at least shows that `clang` was ''not'' used in the good build.
The good build uses `gcc -std=gnu99` where the bad build used `clang`.
The only differences in the logs are support for `tex` and `Tcl/Tk`,
different timezones and directories. There is nothing which could indicate
how this happened or where the mysterious `clang` came from.
