 * Why not `SR.gen('x')` to create a new variable instead of `SR.symbol` /
 `SR.var`? Also: currently broken, so would be nice to fix.

 * To inject variables into the namespace, why not attach a method
 `ex.inject_variables()` to symbolic expressions that injects the output of
 `ex.variables()`.

 At the end of the day, I don't think that the purity of functional
 programming conventions is worth the pain of changing how `var` behaves.
 Yes it does chafe against your OCD. But imagine you don't know Python and
 just want to do some symbolic stuff. I can guarantee you that that user is
 not going to appreciate your lesson in functional programming.
