Hmm, this would be generating lists of length at most 1.
Do you see any real use case?
It seems to me that the specification that `min_slope` is either `-oo`
or an integer (and symmetrically for `max_slope`) is quite natural,
and allowing for `+oo` would only mean adding more special cases and
complications to handle for no added value.
