Aparently, it is!!
William wrote to me off list:
In fact, the install finished on OS X 10.4 PPC and all tests pass!
(Total time: 85.98 minutes).
It is of course a good news that the tests pass; perhaps someone can test
it with OS X 10.5
But at first I wondered why the tests took so long! I never had a machine
where the test suite took more than 20 minutes. However, William explained
the PowerPC OS X is known to be slow.
As far as I understood, William is currently testing on various platforms,
so I hope that soon we will have an overview of what is possible.
