 I wrote .is_connected() for SetSystem here #18682, and it seems to work,
 have look. But looking at the timings just this one command may not be
 enough for what you need. The connectivity routine is fast enough, but
 filling the SetSystems may be Or maybe you can experiment with it a bit.

 If not enough, what exactly would suffice for your purposes? A method
 component(e) (to compute the component containing e) and a method to
 restrict all subsets to a given subset?
