By the way, note that since this includes the private methods in the
reference manual, there are a lot of new warnings when building that
document. (People haven't written all of the docstrings for their
{{{__init__}}} methods, etc., to conform with proper reST format, since
they didn't need to before.) These should be dealt with in a separate
ticket: otherwise, we might feel obliged to keep rebasing this ticket
until it was merged.
