So do you think you'll switch to the new model? It's roughly a 2x slowdown
(to which I'm fairly certain it is just because you are doing more matrix
multiplications), but it does offer greater flexibility. The other option
would be to include both methods and choose the old one for `QQ` over
simplicial complexes...
