Comment:
The patch is not enough for me: even with the patch, compilation lines
still have `-std=c++98` and not `-std=gnu++98`. After `autoreconf`,
however, eveything becomes fine, so I guess the patch is only missing the
`autoreconf` output. (More details in #17622, comment:5)
