It seems to work! But doesn't (?) ... although this may have to do with
the fact that I'm installing a large spkg at the same time. I'll try
again in a second. More relevantly...

If you think you have waited long enough, then try View Log under the
Development menu which may give you some clues as to why it has not
started.

There is no such option in the Development menu of the menu bar thing.
I also just want to echo jhpalmieri's comment. It's not our patience, but
yours - it will be so awesome to have something that has actually been
tested by more than two people, look at all the (inevitable) bugs/user
improvements already found.
