Ok, the latest patch [attachment:trac_1956_multi_power_series_new_2.patch]
passes all tests in the `sage/rings` directory, so I'm uploading it and
starting `ptestlong`.
At this point, I'd like to start thinking that any other limitations of
this patch should be filed under a new ticket, but we'll see what comes
up.
