Ticket #8334 has some other dependencies -- they are listed on that ticket
(Jeroen's comment 24). With those installed the patch applies fine, and
all doctests in sage/rings pass (I'm running a full ptestlong cycle now),
so I'm putting this back to "needs_review".
By the way, Mitesh has a lovely script
[http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/release/sage-4.6.alpha2/merger-4.6.alpha2
merger-4.6.alpha2], which you can run on a clean 4.6.alpha1 build and it
will download and apply all of the patches and spkgs so far merged.
