 Tachyon does have a fog command, but its undocumented, and more
 importantly doesn't seem to work correctly from what I have tested.

 I've tried to visualize higher-dimensional fans some, and one thing that
 might help is to "explode" the fan a bit - i.e. move the cones out a bit
 from their center, so they are easier to see.  One of my attempts from a
 couple of years ago is at
 [http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/mhampton/gf5_14fade.mp4] - 39 MB.  I
 would do a number of things differently now though.
