 Just for the record: I again did a fresh build of Sage 4.5.3, renamed the
 directory and then upgraded to Sage 4.6.alpha'''2''' with the (previous)
 test upgrade path (on Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64).

 The upgrade failed in the first place, I then "successfully" ran
 {{{make}}} (all new packages are present) and now I get lots of doctest
 errors ({{{ptestlong}}}).

 More to come (still running); currently testing the new alpha'''3''' test
 upgrade path on another machine.
