The IE problem probably reflects IE not using standard javascript. MS
programmers seem to think they should use a different syntax than the one
agreed upon in the standards. I will look into that.
I've sort of reproduced the Safari problem. I've traced it to a js call
in the standard Jmol.js package, which is rather odd. That stuff is very
well tested. One possibility is that I've lost track of the appropriate
applet names somehow in jmol_lib.js.
