I tried applying the patches, then running "sage -sdist ...", and then
building from the resulting tar ball. The patch for the root repo isn't
working; I think the spkg-install script is exiting before the part which
creates the hgrc file. The code to create the hgrc file might have to
appear several times in that file, since there are several places it can
successfully exit. Maybe try [attachment:trac_11121-root-repo.patch]
instead.
