bzip2-compressed.
Yes and no. On my computer, in the worst case, it takes about 7 or 8
seconds (for the main sage spkg). Installing that package takes 35
minutes, so the added time is insignificant, taken in proportion. For
most of the standard spkg's, this is the case. (Running {{{time bunzip2
-t *.spkg}}} on the directory {{{SAGE_ROOT/spkg/standard}}} takes 49
seconds on my machine, compared to 2 hours to build all of Sage.)
