 ''Adding'' the latter list to the former should be sufficient. Maybe also
 add `LD_RUN_PATH`, which is used only if no `-rpath` parameters are
 present when linking, and (in general) perhaps `ABI` and `CPP` itself.

 Other platforms (i.e., operating systems) use different flavours of
 `LD_LIBRARY_PATH` etc. though, but I don't care much atm... ;-)
