OK. The log that I posted at #12738 uses `MAKE="make -j4"`, but I can try
to change the parameter and build Singular again.

OK. Then, ''before'' changing MAKE I will add CPPFLAGS.
However, what I see in the logs is that the -flto option is ''not'' passed
to the linker, whereas it ''is'' passed to the compiler. Anyway, comments
would be better at #12738.
