I have been through all the cource code converting from char* strings to
C++ strings where possible, including all filenames and elliptic curve
codes (but excluding some low-level stuff where byte arrays are used as
such). The resulting tarball is now eclib-2012-04-19.tar.gz and as the
dates has moved on, I renamed the resulting spkg too:
eclib-20120419.spkg. There are no changes to the install scripts apart
from updating SPKG.txt, and I re-checked on my own machine that it builds
and all tests pass.
