libraries, so we can't build threaded shared libraries.
Is that a bug in ATLAS or a bug in `spkg-install`? The version of ATLAS
currently in Sage doesn't have this problem.
And I'm with John on trying the build "out of the box" on the buildbots as
much as possible. And I don't consider single-core machines ancient.
