Hi Albert, I'm sure a lot of people get excluded when
history/news/whatever is written. This is unfortunate. As Indira
Gandhi once famously said, "The meek may inherit the earth, but not
the headlines."

However, for various reasons, publicity has to be secured, and does
not fall into one's lap.

If you ask Ashley, he might confirm the trouble he went through to get
the media to hear out his point on the e-wastes plan. (If not
mistaken, there was a press conference involved.) When we come out
with new books, it is hard work to get these noticed ... press notes,
et al.

Sad but true.

As for the book "When The Curtains Rise", by Dr Andre Rafael
Fernandes, which you mention and which we at Goa,1556 worked on, it
was based on his PhD thesis. Copying this to him for his information.

PS: As of now, Fr Nascimento is finalising plans for his book on
Saligao. I hope people would offer their suggestions at this stage.
While 'everything' cannot obviously be included, if you know of some
aspects of the village which you could write something on, please get
in touch...
