Dear Albert I can well understand how you feel abt being left out from the media attention. Well, I don't think Fred alone can be held responsible for this. Moreover, Fred is not into critical reviews of drama or profiling the tiatrists for the local press. I wish the press at that time given you due coverage abt your shows.
The great book on tiatrs you are referring to was also not authored by Fred. His firm has only helped in pulishing the same. The book was authored by Dr. Andre Rafael Fernandes and he has depended extensively on various articles and publications for the same that had appeared in the local press. Besides he has also spoken with the concerned people. Some references in the book are also made to various of my writings in the press, with due credits wherever required. However, please do not get upset abt yr work not getting the due recognition. I am engaged by the Tiatr Academy of Goa to write a book on 'true to life incidences/anecdotes' in the life of tiatrists during their professional career. I would be glad to speak to you and document the same. Please brush up on your memory and be ready to narrate to me 2 or 3 such true to life incidences that you may have encountered during your tiatr days. I have just started work on it and hope to finish it before the year end. I shall meet you in person in Mapusa or in saligao.....and if time permits I could go a little more in detail and profile you in the local press. Till then.....you go cud still try your hand at scripting another tiatr on some contemporary topic relating to Goa and stage with the sami in Saligao (For Easter) with the help of Saligao Youth. And you could count me in too....I shall still do the opening 'solo' for you ....gratis of course!
