Though having more reporters in the village (even if they're your next door
neighbours) is no guarantee of getting publicity to issues that deserve it,
I have long believed in the need for encouraging more young people to taking
to writing and joining the media.

There are simply too many issues to do justice here. Although we've had one
or two or three reporters in the past in Saligao (Nicholas' dad, Mr "Tipri"
Ormello D'Souza; Norman Dantes, Francis Ribeiro, among others), we have
never had enough. Now there are more young people joining the field, but
there is still a need for more.

Of course this is not meant to divert attention from the point that Albert
raised; I just feel that the issue is deeper. FN
