It appears that my weekend contribution didn't get through :-( I have to remember to change the 'from' address in gmail to get the SaligaoNet servers to recogize me as a legitimate Collo.
Anyway, in response to Annette's query on the secular priest and the secular Humanist... the former is obligated to give 'something' to God whereas the latter, not. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secular_humanism ;-) No matter how light they make the Rs100 notes, gravity always wins. Every secular Humanist knows that science rules :-)))) Hope you all had a great weekend. We went to the Siolim social here in Toronto yesterday. Great affair celebrating the Feast of St. Anthony (one of my middle names!) of Padua. Interesting little booklet given out recounted all the miracles he performed during and after his day. Part that piqued my interest was that he was known as the 'Wonder Worker' for his success in converting heretics. Maybe there's still hope. Kevin ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Kevin Saldanha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Jun 9, 2007 8:43 AM Subject: Deonsar To: [email protected], Frederick FN Noronha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> OK... here's my contribution for the weekend ======= A man dies and goes to hell. There he finds that there is a different hell for each community and a special one for the small Catholic Goan community (who still believe in Heaven and Hell ;-) He goes to the German hell and asks, "What do they do here?" He was told, "First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the German devil comes in and beats you for the rest of the day." The man does not like the sound of that at all, so he moves on. He checks out the Israeli hell as well as the Russian hell and many more. He discovers that they are all more or less the same as the German hell. Then he comes to the Goan hell and finds that there is a long line of people waiting to get in. Amazed, he asks, "What do they do here?" He told, "First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the Goan devil comes in and beats you for the rest of the day." "But that is exactly he same as all the other hells - why are there so many people waiting to get in?" "Because electricity supply is so bad that the chair does not work, someone has stolen all the nails from the bed, and the devil is a civil servant, so he comes in, signs the register and then goes to the Cafeteria! ===== Ooops, did I just break my own rule of not making fun of a community I don't belong to???
