Perhaps the problem is in my understanding of how it works. I've got 2 items on the Alert tab for this server. Both the SMTP alert and the SOUND alert are configred to fire after 3 times down. The SMTP alert seems to be working correctly. After finding 100%, it waits for the next 2 checks to also be 100%. Therefore, it only fires after 3 minutes of 100% utilization. (That's such a rare occurrance that I haven't verified that it is actually working.)
On the other hand, the SOUND alert doesn't appear to be waiting for the 3rd time down. Why then did the sound alert fire again at 08:17? (Sorry about the minimal log entries.
