We monitor disk space on domain controllers and other
critical servers - especially the C: drive and paging file drive. We
monitor processes in some cases, but those much smarter than I am will have to
explain the benefits of monitoring a process versus monitoring a
service.
We also monitor internal and external URLs and use the
external COM check for mail flow and the external COM file counter to monitor
Exchange mail queues. We utilize SNMP to monitor various items on our
switches and routers.

In regards to services, process, disk space, etc on your servers, what are
some of the things being monitored using Servers Alive? I'm guessing Ping and
DNS are the default, especially for domain controllers, and SMTP for the mail
servers, but what else? Anyone bothering to monitor disk space and/or processes
etc?
