I think I've come up with a fairly practical method of making it possible to run speccy 128 programs on the SAM... it involves a plug-in box which has a 32K ram, a z80, and a certain amount of logic (and perhaps a sound chip). The question is - is there any point pursuing it? It wouldn't be compatible with the +2a/+3.
Why do more spectrum owners not use the SAM? is it because of it not being 128 compatible, or is it because they can't use their existing spectrum hardware? Andy
