This project will consist of, but not be limited to, identifying all Agencies that will receive federal funds for Sandy, coordinating the data inputs into the internal dashboard and interfaces, and working with developers to develop a data warehouse for Sandy data.
More specifically, the Project Manager will be responsible to:
- Work with the Governor’s Office:
? Identify and document requirements for the Governor’s Office dashboard(s)
? Identify all Agencies that manage grants for Super Storm Sandy
? Assist with data gathering and input to dashboard
? Identify other reporting and tracking requirements of the Governor’s office
- Work with the Comptroller’s Office to:
? Identify requirements
? Identify reporting requirements
- Work with the Office of Information Technology to:
? Manage the project following OIT’s Project Management Office project managements standards
? Work with the Enterprise Data Services division to provide requirements for a data warehouse
? Interface with the State Agencies to obtain requirements for their interface into the State’s data warehouse and the Governor’s websites and dashboards
? Interface with the Affinity Groups Leaders to coordinate Agency efforts
? Work with the Administrative Services division to provide requirements for interfaces to the state Financial Systems
? Identify, document and manage risks and issues
? Develop all necessary project plans with relevant target dates (major milestones, including start and end dates)
The Project Manager is responsible for managing various phases of the project.
The Project Manager will carry out all actions necessary to meet the overall objectives and requirements of the project including:
- Identifying requirements of the Governor’s office and/or Agencies relating to the fund tracking
- Identification of all data sources
- Identifying areas of potential inter-Agency sharing
- Identifying and managing a central data repository solution (i.e. data warehouse)
- Ensuring compatibility among Agency systems and solutions
- Identifying interfaces and feeds of inter-Agency data systems
Skills Required / Desired:
Bachelor's degree (minimum Requirement) Required
Experience managing broad and large scale projects Required 10 Years
Substantial experience and thorough knowledge of data warehouse Required
Ability to interact with the Executive professionals, and various levels of IT professionals Required
Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel Required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills Required
A drivers license valid in the State of NJ Required
Any knowledge of federal grants programs would be helpful Nice to have
Prior State or Federal Govt experience will be HUGE PLUS.
