Hi Chris, here's that alternative http://vizualbod.com/f/pretty.invoices.tar.gz I spent a day on it, so there is no reason other people should be hitting against the same wall again. In my view making PDF out of genarated HTML is a trivial task that any modern browser / operating system handles out of the box. Making pretty RML invoices is a pain. XHTML/CSS gives you much more control over the printed document than RML. E.g.: Making Chinese invoices or right to left in RML is impossible.
I release it under the same licence as Satchmo so that the PDF can be made optional. I would be utterly grateful if this enhancement can make it to the core. It is not a diff, but I hope the packaging is comfortable enough to be a drop in replacement.
